Keepnets !
As per the last meeting, the club is to implement the following new rules, which must be adhered to, and any abuse by members will result in appropriate action by our Bailiffs.

Fish welfare, and preventing the spread of disease is paramount.

All landing nets, keep nets, stink bags, weigh slings and unhooking mats must be completely air dried between fishery visits.

When landing and unhooking fish, if anglers do not deal with fish in the landing net and are more comfortable dealing with the fish on the bank, then an unhooking mat must be used.

** River Severn Bridgnorth **
We are pleased to announce that the club has negotiated an agreement with Bridgnorth Angling Society which gives our members access to their four mile stretch of the River Severn above Bridgnorth Shropshire. This stretch of river is very picturesque and varied with all species of fish present and a good head of barbel and chub.
As part of the agreement Pisces have purchased ten books for the 2017/18 season, these are available for members to pre-book on a first come first served basis. Books once booked can be collected locally or will be posted out prior to booked date, all books must be returned to the club immediately by recorded delivery or in person after your trip to maximize availability. On receipt of the book members must read the rules carefully and ensure they understand and adhere to them as responsible representatives of Pisces.
The B.A.S book only covers the club member and not any guests named in the Pisces book and members using them must have their Pisces book and a corresponding rod license with them when fishing. Along the fishery there is an old rail track which gives better access to the river bank if members wish to use this they must first get a permit from Middle Severn Angling to do so before fishing at a cost of 50 pence/day the shop is open daily at 8.00am.
Our contact at Middle Severn Angling is Rosa Bailey and she can be contacted on 01746 769070. Rosa is very knowledgeable and always happy to help. We would like to encourage all members to take advantage of this arrangement and enjoy the fantastic fishing the Severn has to offer. Listed also is a copy of any booked matches on the waters for members information

SPAC Match Section

We are delighted to announce that Pisces have joined up with the British Rail Angling Club. They are a small group of approximately 15 – 20 keen anglers whom organised their own club to compete in matches between themselves. The team are well established and have regular match fixtures already booked throughout this year and there are a few places available for anyone from Pisces wishing to enter a match or 2. It is anticipated that having a match team associated within the Pisces banner will be a great asset to everyone and bring in more features and enjoyment for all members.
They have their own match secretary who will deal with all match bookings for and behalf of the Pisces club. If you wish to enter a match please contact either of the following:- Jack Turner on 07891 075344 or Terry Balderson 0780 6620148

After weeks of head bashing and brain storming with many people, the club have finally been provided a solution to the ID protection problem. When we first opened up our angling club to the armed forces we never anticipated there would be so many loop holes. We assumed it would be a matter of giving us their ID in exchange for club membership but that was strictly forbidden.

Thanks to Jody, the armed forces can join simply by sending a scanned copy of his/her payslip. All pay slips are generic across the armed forces the number at the top left of the document (eg: JPA EO17) is how it is recognised as a payslip. Please cross out/delete any information not required by us then email your membership application along with the scan. It’s that easy !

Many thanks again to Jody for all his help. Best wishes Stu
